Gebauer Help pages
Hello all. Thank you for coming to look at this page.
It is so easy to think that someone else will be offering help and that you need not get involved.
Your help IS needed, however small, however large. Some activities can be time consuming, other things can take up only 5 minutes a month. Please take positive action to help in any way you can. Your services will be appreciated by many people.
The help needed is in 4 areas:
- Sponsorship / help - for a letter Mailshot to Gebauers
To see some of the mailing lists which we would like you to sponsor or be involved with in your local area or country, see the following lists which have been gathered so far.
The production of these lists has been time consuming, so please mention us if you use this information.. Thanks...World Gebauer Lists
- Website - managing aspects of the website
- Design a House of Gebauer Logo - (maybe even try to find the Gebauer Crest of Arms) -Vacant
-Create pages for teenage Gebauers - Robert Gebauer
-Create a Gebauer Newsletter - (1 every 6 months?) - Vacant
-Establish Gebauer webring - Contact all Gebauers with web sites (I have the list from the site) -Vacant
-Manage the message board - (needs passwords etc to modify text, edit, design etc) - Vacant- Gebauer - co ordinating information and activities
Administration involves:
- looking after mail lists,
- getting views on the Gebauer get together,
- receiving genealogy information to send to HoG central data source
Active involves:
- Canvassing views on HoG get together
- Distribution of HoG Newsletter
- Translations
- Recruit other Gebauers to help
- Site support - as part of your normal activity in the www
- Involve Gebaurs who do not have access to the web
- Sharing genealogy information
- Letting Gebauers know about the 2002/3 get together
